My experience spans corporate restructures, share and asset sales, and a broad range of commercial contracts, equipping me with the expertise to support businesses at every stage of their journey. Before joining Sumer Law, I led the legal department at Dragon Argent, a boutique professional services firm, and trained at Collyer Bristow LLP, where I qualified into the corporate department.

Beyond advising clients, I’m passionate about building a forward-thinking legal team that delivers expert, responsive, and business-focused solutions. At Sumer Law, my role is not just about legal expertise, it’s about ensuring our team supports businesses with clarity, confidence, and a collaborative approach.

As Legal Operations Director at Sumer Law, I focus on ensuring that everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and with a client-first approach. My role is about more than just operations, it’s about creating an environment where our solicitors can deliver the best possible legal support, and where clients experience seamless, proactive service that adds real value to their businesses.

With over a decade of experience in operational and commercial management at a fast-growing, multi-office law firm, I understand what it takes to drive efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth in the legal industry. I believe that collaboration and co-creation are the key to success, great ideas don’t come from working in silos, they come from working together.

Based in Bristol, I’m a big fan of the outdoors and love spending time exploring the South West with my young family.

Before joining Sumer Law, I worked in the corporate team at Burton Partners, a boutique law firm in New Zealand, where I advised clients on a range of corporate and commercial matters. My approach is always solutions-driven, ensuring that businesses get the legal clarity and strategic support they need to move forward.

Outside of work, I’m a keen runner and a competitive horse rider, so I know a thing or two about endurance, and keeping my eye on the finish line!

With nearly two decades of experience in employment law, I provide clear, up-to-date guidance on everything from contracts and workplace policies to complex HR matters and disputes. Whether supporting employers or employees, my goal is always to deliver practical, commercially sound advice that helps clients navigate the ever-changing world of employment law with confidence.

Having worked in-house and in private practice across London, the Midlands, Dubai, and Manchester, I thrive in the fast-paced nature of this area of law, ensuring my clients stay compliant, protected, and prepared for whatever challenges arise.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me exploring art galleries or enjoying a good game of cricket, both require patience, strategy, and a keen eye for detail, much like employment law itself!

As a Corporate Solicitor at Sumer Law, I combine legal expertise with financial acumen to help businesses navigate corporate structuring, M&A transactions, fundraising, and commercial agreements with confidence. With a background as both a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer and a Chartered Accountant (CAANZ), I bring a well-rounded, strategic approach to advising businesses on their growth and investment plans.

Before joining Sumer Law, I worked at a top 10 New Zealand law firm and in the transaction team at Deloitte, gaining valuable experience in equity documentation, deal structuring, and commercial advisory. My goal is always to provide practical, commercially focused legal solutions that help businesses scale, secure investment, and stay compliant.

Beyond the legal world, I’m a passionate food reviewer who considers dining out a true hobby! I also love traveling (having visited 47 countries so far), music, hiking, playing netball, and, of course, getting lost in a great book.

I trained and qualified at Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP before gaining valuable experience at boutique firm Beyond Corporate Limited, advising businesses at every stage of their lifecycle. My approach is straightforward, commercially focused, and always tailored to the unique needs of my clients.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about classical music and endurance sports. I’ve completed two Ironman distance triathlons to date, a marathon, and spent 5 seasons racing in the local road cycling scene in Cape Town, so I know a thing or two about resilience, and pushing past limits, both in sport and in business!

With 25 years of experience in corporate law, I support businesses through M&A transactions, business sales and purchases, and corporate restructures, ensuring they have the legal expertise needed to grow and evolve smoothly.

Having worked both in private practice and in-house at a large international company, I understand the legal challenges businesses face from both perspectives. In recent years, I’ve worked as an independent consultant, advising a diverse range of clients on corporate structuring, governance, and commercial transactions. My approach is always practical, strategic, and tailored to each business’s unique needs.

Outside of work, you’ll find me enjoying 80s music and getting into the festival spirit, because great music and great deals both require the perfect rhythm!

I’ve worked on a variety of mid-market transactions, including cross-border deals, demergers, capital reductions, and share buybacks. My previous experience as a private client paralegal also gives me a unique perspective on the intersection of corporate law and personal wealth, allowing me to offer well-rounded, strategic advice.

Outside of work, I enjoy football, golf, and tennis, always up for a challenge, on the field and in the boardroom!
